Politik om beskyttelse af persondata

Last updated: 8 October 2026

This policy explains how Onus ApS handles your personal data when you join ONUS by email, visit onus.world, contact us, or order from us once our shop opens. In short: we collect only what we need, we never sell your data, and you can leave whenever you want.

1. Who we are

Onus ApS is the data controller for the personal data described here.

2. What we collect

When you order from us: your name, delivery and billing address, email, phone number, what you ordered, and any returns or complaints. You enter payment details directly with our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.

When you contact us: your contact details and what you write to us.

We don't sell your data, and we don't use it to build profiles for advertising. If that changes, we'll update this policy first.

4. Who helps us

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, under data processing agreements:

  • Shopify hosts onus.world, stores signups and orders, sends our emails and runs the checkout.
  • Our payment provider handles card and other payments.
  • Shipping carriers receive your name, address and contact details to deliver your order.
  • Our accountant sees order and payment records for bookkeeping.

We'll name new providers here when we add them. We only share data with public authorities when the law requires it.

Some providers, including Shopify, may store or access data outside the EU/EEA, for example in Canada or the United States. Those transfers are protected by an EU adequacy decision or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

5. How long we keep it

  • Your email address: until you leave ONUS. We stop emailing you straight away and delete your address within 30 days.
  • Record of your consent: 2 years after you leave, so we can show we had your permission.
  • Orders and payments: 5 years from the end of the financial year, as the Danish Bookkeeping Act requires.
  • Customer service messages: as long as we need them to handle your case and any related complaint or warranty claim.

6. Cookies

onus.world runs on Shopify, which sets cookies the site needs to work, stay secure and run the cart and checkout. Statistics or marketing cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner shown when you first visit.

7. Your rights

You can leave ONUS whenever you want. Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or write to us. Leaving doesn't affect anything we did with your consent before then.

You also have the right to:

  • see the data we hold about you
  • have it corrected or deleted
  • restrict or object to how we use it
  • receive it in a portable format

Write to us at the address in section 1, and we'll answer within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, datatilsynet.dk.

8. Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy when ONUS changes, for example when we add a new service provider. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects how we use your data, we'll tell you by email before it takes effect.
